On Thursday evening, police officers from the Economic Crime Investigation Division (PC46) of the Da Nang Department of Police seized 1,900 bottles of beer, labelled with the Heineken brand name, and 612 bottles of whisky, labelled with the brand name Black.  They are suspected of having been imported illegally and being fake.

The PC46 Police Unit detected these items as they were checking the company warehouse of L B in Thanh Khe District on Wednesday.  The haul was found lacking the relevant papers to prove its origin.  In addition, many of the bottles of Heineken did not have the required barcode.

According to the police, the Vietnam Brewery Limited Company has confirmed that it had not imported the 250ml-capacity bottles of Heineken beer.  This confirmed that these items have certainly been imported into Viet Nam illegally.

The case is now under further investigation.
