During his reception on Thursday for Mr Tran Minh Triet, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Vietnam Brewery Limited (VBL), Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Xuan Anh praised the great efforts made by the company to increase its contribution to the city's budget.

In 2015, VBL Da Nang made the single largest tax contribution to the city’s budget at around 1,670 billion VND, a 9-fold increase compared with 2010.  The company was also actively involved in local social welfare programmes and gave donations to various cultural events across the city.

Deputy CEO Triet thanked the local authorities for their support for the city’s branch of his company over past years.  He said that this year the branch is aiming to increase its total revenue by 10% against 2015, and to contribute around 2,000 billion VND to the city’s budget.

He also said that VBL is participating in a number of social responsibility activities in a sustainable manner.  They include protecting water resources, taking part in local social welfare programmes, and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by using fuels made from agricultural by-products.
