Prices likely to be up by average 1.07% in February

Da Nang’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) in February is likely to have risen by 1.07% against January.
Over the month, the highest increase is predicted to be a 4% increase for restaurant and food services, largely due to a rise in the price of food during Tet.
The prices of other goods and services are likely to have risen by over 1.4%, also due to the hike in prices before and during Tet.
However, the price of transportation is predicted to have declined significantly by 4%. The prices of housing, electricity, water, fuels, and building materials are likely to have decreased by 0.55%, with post and telecommunications by 0.3%. The main reason for these decreases is the fall in domestic fuel prices.
