Vietnam Airlines said yesterday that it will providing the above services at no charge to passengers with booking to and from Belgium as well as flights between Viet Nam and other European countries until March 31.

Passengers can alter the travel period of their flights until April 30, the airline said, adding that flyers will also pay no difference in fares caused by different journeys or seat types.

However passengers will have to pay additional fees if the journey involves flights from other carriers, the national airline said.

The changes are being made as bomb attacks struck Brussels airport and a rush-hour metro train in the Belgian capital on Tuesday.

According to Reuters, the terrorist acts have killed at least 35 people, with the Islamic State claiming responsibility for the bombings.

The carrier recommended that passengers keep themselves updated and pay close attention to check-in procedures at local airports.

They also reminded travelers to bring all identity documents when flying and strictly following security regulations.

Passengers can contact Vietnam Airlines offices to check the status of flights to and from Europe.
