The Da Nang Department of Transport has proposed that the municipal People’s Committee should approve work to start this year on the upgrade of 6 streets, work which was originally planned to begin in 2014.  The streets are: Hoang Dieu, Phan Chau Trinh, Ly Thai To, Le Loi, Ong Ich Khiem, and a 795m-long section of Hung Vuong between its intersections with Ngo Gia Tu and Ham Nghi. The total cost of the work is expected to be 65.2 billion VND.

The Department is pushing for the work to start this year to allow time for it to be completed for the 25^th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit which will take place in the city in October 2017.
