Construction of key projects expedited

The Da Nang People’s Committee Chairman, Mr Huynh Duc Tho, recently asked local relevant agencies to push along the construction of local key projects.

The Da Nang Port Company have been asked to finalise all relevant legal procedures in order to ensure the start of the 2nd phase of the Tien Sa Port expansion project on 25 June.       

As for the refurbishment of the Da Nang Museum of Cham Sculpture, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is required to collect opinions from experts about maintaining the quality and aesthetics of the museum during the refurbishment period.  Approval has been given by the city leader to decrease by 25% the museum’s admission fee to 30,000 VND per ticket between 1 July and 31 December.

Site clearance for the extended Nguyen Tat Thanh Street and a road link between Hoa Vang District’s Hoa Phuoc and Hoa Khuong communes will be completed before 30 May and in September respectively.

In preparation for the 2017 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit in the city, some infrastructure projects will be implemented in the city very soon.  Included are the upgrading of some major streets and the Tien Son Sports Arena, and the development of the existing International Exhibition Fair Centre into an international media centre.  The management boards of these projects are being urged to guarantee that their projects will be implemented to schedule.

The construction of the 20,000-seater Hoa Xuan Stadium will be completed no later than 30 August, whilst work on the Athlete Training Centre at the Hoa Xuan Sports and Physical Training Complex will start in August.

All the necessary procedures to start the upgrade of the existing Preventive Medicine Centre and the building of the Odonto-Stomatology Hospital will be finalised and submitted to the authorities for approval this month.  In addition, the construction of a cardiovascular centre at the Da Nang General Hospital will be completed no later than late December.

The site clearance for a road from the Hue T-junction to the Hoa Cam overpass will be completed on schedule.  Work on the 2nd phase of the Mai Dang Chon street project will begin in June.

Also, the upgrade of the Thanh Nien (Youth) Park on Xuan Thuy, Le Thanh Nghi, Cach Mang Thang Tam and Dang Xuan Bang streets will be completed before late December.
