DA NANG Today
Published: April 12, 2016

In an effort to promote the city’s sustainable development, the Da Nang authorities are giving top priority during 2016 to attracting FDI inflows into hi-tech, information technology (IT), support industries, tourism services, logistics, education, and environmentally-friendly projects.

Special attention will be paid to appealing for FDI from well-known multinational corporations and investors in Australia, South Korea, Japan, France, German, the USA, the UK, and other ASEAN and European countries.  Also, focus will be on attracting small and medium-sized businesses specialising in hi-tech, IT and support industries from these countries.

This year, the city will organise numerous investment promotion workshops in such key markets as Japan, German, South Korea’s Ulsan City, and Australia's Sydney.  The emphasis will be on attending the major travel trade show ITB Berlin, the ASEAN International Conference, the International Festival for Business (IFB), and the Viet Nam Global Investment Forum.

Importance will be attached to giving more assistance to Japanese businesses operating in the city and to the Da Nang FDI Businesses’ Club.  Greater efforts will be made to seek international partners through the central government’s investment promotion channels like the foreign investment agency, the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and foreign business associations.

Attention will also be paid to helping foreign investors sort out their problems and building their confidence to make their long-term investments in the city.
