Published: April 05, 2016

Following a recent decision by the Da Nang authorities about cutting waste and saving money, relevant agencies will check and revoke the investment licences of delayed development projects which have not yet been implemented in accordance with their contracts and permits.

In particular, the focus will be on stopping or temporarily suspending unnecessary and ineffective projects, and enhancing the quality of the surveying and designing of construction projects in order to save between 10 and 15% of their total costs.

In addition, efforts will be made to reduce the organisation of groundbreaking and opening ceremonies of construction projects.  Importance will be attached to increasing the management and the effective and economical use of natural resources, and protecting and developing forests.  All violations involving land use, and exploiting natural resources and minerals, will be strictly punished.
