470 billion VND for upgrading electricity networks
Approval has been given by the Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Mr Hoang Quoc Vuong, for the spending of 470 billion VND over the next 2 years on upgrading the electricity networks in Da Nang’s Son Tra, Cam Le and Hoa Vang districts. 318.2 billion VND will be funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency and the remainder from the Central Power Corporation.
Of that, 219 billion VND will be spent on installing 60km of medium voltage lines and 41km of low voltage, building 32 transformer stations with a total capacity of 9,050 kVA, relocating 16,656 electricity meters, and installing 10 new 24kV electrical switches in Son Tra District.
The remaining 251 billion VND will be used to upgrade the electricity networks in Cam Le and Hoa Vang districts. Here there will be 164km of medium voltage lines and 22km of low voltage, 51 new transformer stations with a total capacity of 8,160 kVA, and 15 new electrical switches.
Once completed, a total of 85,800 families in the 3 districts will enjoy the benefits of an upgraded electricity supply.
