On Wednesday, Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Xuan Anh visited some of the businesses operating in the Hoa Khanh Industrial Park.  He was accompanied by municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman Phung Tan Viet and some representatives from local government departments and agencies.

During his visit to the company TCIE Vietnam, which is involved in assembling automobiles, Secretary Anh expressed his delight at the company’s effective operation and growth, and praised its great efforts for the city’s progress.  He encouraged the company to promptly report any difficulties to local relevant agencies for them to handle.

In reply, the company’s director, Mr Ho Wah Juan, said he would like the city leader to ask permission from the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade for his company to joint venture with a partner from Malaysia.

In reply, Secretary Anh urged relevant agencies to consider and send relevant documents to the Ministry for approval as soon as possible.

Whilst visiting the Hoa Phat Corporation’s steelworks, Secretary Anh agreed to earmark 1.5ha of land at the Hoa Khanh Industrial Park for the company to expand its production activities.  He also asked the company’s leaders to develop its production expansion plans and recruit more employees soon.

Mr Anh remarked, “The local authorities pledge to create very favourable conditions for any investors who meet the city’s requirements for environmental protection.  The Da Nang authorities only feel satisfied if businesses operating in the city feel happy because they can earn revenue from their production and businesses activities”.

Mr Tran Long, Chairman of the Hoa Phat Corporation, thanked the city leader for his support.  He highlighted that his company earned 1,300 billion VND in revenue last year and this is expected to increase to around 2,000 billion VND this year.  The company would then contribute around 100 billion VND in taxes to the city’s budget this year.
