Addressing the meeting, the municipal PC Chairman Huynh Duc Tho remarked “The separation aims to meet the requirements of the rapid development of the city's tourism sector.”

He stressed the need for the 2 new departments to pay special attention to enhancing the quality of their human resources and working closely with other local relevant agencies in order to ensure the efficiency of their state management tasks.

The focus will also be on creating favourable conditions for domestic and foreign investors to successfully deploy their projects in the city.

In addition, top priority will be given to enhancing the tourism business environment, raising public awareness amongst local residents and businesses involved in the tourism sector, and ensuring security and safety for visitors to the city.
