Seminar aims to build tourism brand name in central coast localities
As part of the European Union-funded ‘Environmentally and Socially Responsible Tourism Capacity Development Programme’ project, or the EU Project for short, a seminar entitled ‘Build a Brand Name for Tourist Destinations in the Central Coast Region’ took place in Da Nang on Thursday.
The seminar was jointly organised by the Viet Nam General Department of Tourism, the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the EU Project. The aim was to find effective ways to improve existing tourism products and develop new attractive ones in the central coast localities of Da Nang, Thua Thien-Hue Province and Quang Nam Province.
Since 2014, the EU Project has been aiming to promote tourism cooperation between the above-mentioned 3 localities. The focus has been on building a tourism website and tourism map for all these localities, as well as cooperatively developing their tourism brand name and their tourism sector as a whole. Importance has also been attached to helping each locality to fully tap their own tourism potential, as well as promote their sustainable tourism development throughout the region.
