Over 100 members and managers from construction associations across Da Nang recently attended a workshop in the city entitled ‘Joining the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) Agreement – Opportunities and Challenges for the Construction Sector’.

Co-organised by the Central Region Construction Contractors’ Association and the Da Nang Construction Association, the event aimed to help small and medium-sized construction businesses enhance their capacities.

According to the information released at the event, only a few local construction contractors are applying advanced technologies in their projects and are therefore unable to accept complicated projects.  In addition, the city’s construction contractors are facing competition, and many of them are unable to ensure sufficient financial capacity to bid for large-scale projects.
