Discussions focussed on helping local businesses enhance the implementation of their online sales and payment methods via their own websites and e-commerce trading floors. Also, the participants were introduced to ways to effectively manage and fully tap the advantages of e-commerce to enhance the efficiency of their trading and production activities.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in 2015 45% of Viet Nam’s businesses had their own websites, and about 5,000 e-commerce sites were registered across the country. Also, 62% of the country’s internet users did online shopping, and each online shopper spent an average of 160 USD.
