Boom in new projects on south-eastern side of the city

Da Nang has enjoyed benefits from the 2,700ha Dien Nam-Dien Ngoc new urban planning project which was approved by the Prime Minister in 1999 and from effective bilateral cooperation with Quang Nam Province.  This has helped the south-eastern side of Da Nang, near the administrative boundary with Quang Nam, to turn itself into a new urban area and to see an increasing number of new construction projects.

Between 2012 and 2015, numerous urban area projects were effectively deployed, including the Dien Ngoc Shopping and Residential Complex, the Ngan Cau-Ngan Giang, and the Green City.

Designed by experts from the Singapore-based P&T Group, the Green City project features an ecological zone and a smart urban area, and it offers around 1,000 vacant pieces of land for buyers.

Since late last year, there has been a boom in new urban and residential projects, including the 420ha dedicated Dien Nam-Dien Ngoc Industrial Park, an over 300ha entertainment and tourism complex, and the 400ha Da Nang University Village project.  This has helped this part of the city become an education and training centre, and an industrial and tourism hub in the central region.

In addition, various infrastructure development projects linking Da Nang with Quang Nam Province’s Dien Ban District and Hoi An have been implemented, which in turn creates a powerful leverage for boosting local urban development.

Also, many new streets have been built in this new urban area to link with the existing road network.

On 16 June, the Dat Xanh Mien Trung company and Dat Quang group entered into an agreement to jointly implement some new projects at this south-eastern part, with a total investment of over 1,000 billion VND.

Under the agreement, a 6.4ha shopping and residential complex expansion project featuring modern infrastructure, and the 9ha Ngoc Vinh ecological zone offering peaceful and green living spaces for local residents, will be created.  In addition, the focus will be on developing the 61.41ha Dien Ngoc-Dien Duong seaside urban area which is located near the Dien Duong Beach, opposite the Co Co River.

From now until 2020, the city’s Vinaconex 25 will pour investment into some new projects.  They are the 20ha, 203 billion VND, Thien An urban area in Dien Ban District, and the 48.42ha Ngan Cau residential area valued at around 591 billion VND.
