In particular, the Start-up Fair, which took place in the city on 18 June, was a resounding success and attracted a great deal of attention from both domestic and foreign visitors.
In addition, the CC and the city’s leaders welcomed many international ambassadors and representatives from large foreign businesses and universities which offer great potential for start-up business activities. The intention was to help the city’s start-up businesses to operate more effectively.
Over the period, the CC also made suggestions to the city authorities about more incentives for local start-up businesses in order to promote the efficiency of their operation.
Moreover, the Da Nang’s Investment and Support Start-up Company (DNES) successfully organised their first training course for 8 start-up projects in the city. After the 6-month-long course, all the projects have shown positive results in various aspects.
Municipal People's Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh praised the CC and DNES for their remarkable achievements over the period, which in turn made a good impression of the city’s start-up business activities on nationwide localities, and attracted a great deal of attention from international friends.
Mr Minh remarked “Top priority should be given to widely publicising the city’s start-up business activities in the mass media. In addition, local relevant agencies should join efforts with their domestic and foreign partners to help local start-up businesses ensure their effective operation”.
He added “Special attention should be paid to helping start-up businesses to build their own brand names. Also, leaders from the city’s Investment Promotion Centre should be admitted to the CC’s Executive Board in order to facilitate local start-up business activities”.
