Promoting supply-demand links with Binh Phuoc Province

On Thursday, the Da Nang Trade Promotion Centre and the Binh Phuoc Province Tourism, Trade and Investment Promotion Centre jointly organised a seminar in the city to promote supply-demand links between businesses in the 2 localities.  The event was part of the 2016 International East-West Economic Corridor (EWEC) Trade and Tourism Fair which is being held between 28 July and 2 August at the city’s International Exhibition Fair Centre.

The seminar was attended by municipal People's Committee (PC) Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh and Binh Phuoc Province PC Chairman Nguyen Van Tram, along with representatives from relevant agencies and over 70 businesses in the 2 localities.

Vice Chairman Minh highlighted the significance of the event in helping the 2 localities to develop their production chains, increase the number of their distribution channels, and promote their trading activities. 

Chairman Tram hoped that businesses from the 2 localities will exchange their experiences on supply-demand links in order to promote the economic development of their localities.

At the event, the participating businesses exchanged information about their own strengths and potentials, and discussed effective ways to promote supply-demand connection activities.  The province’s key products which could be involved in supply-demand links with Da Nang include tourism services, honey, fine art handicrafts, brocade items, salted cashew nuts, and some fresh fruits such as green-skin grapefruits, avocados and durians.

Also at the event, 7 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) on bilateral cooperation were signed.

In particular, an MoU between the Da Nang Trade Promotion Centre and the Binh Phuoc Province Tourism, Trade and Investment Promotion Centre was signed to promote their cooperation and boost mutual supply-demand connection activities. 

The remaining 6 MoUs were entered into by businesses in the 2 localities in order to promote their production and consumption activities.
