The new routes will connect Viet Nam's Hai Phong City directly to Seoul and Bangkok from the city’s Cat Bi International Airport, Vietjet chairwoman Nguyen Thanh Ha said at a conference to boost Hai Phong investment.
“We [Vietjet] do believe that the new international routes will not only facilitate Hai Phong people and tourists in their travel plans to international destinations on safe, modern air services, but also help boost trade and economic exchange among Hai Phong and its partners, as well local’s foreign investment,” Ha said.
The Hai Phong – Seoul service will commence on 12 December, flying every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday with a flight time of around five hours.
Flights depart from Hai Phong at 11:45 pm and arrive in Seoul at 6:00 am.
Return flights from Seoul take off at 7:15 am and land in Hai Phong City at 10:40 am.
The Hai Phong – Bangkok route is set for launch on 9 November, flying every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday with a flight time of around one hour and fifty minutes.
Flights depart from Hai Phong at 6:05 pm and arrive in Bangkok at 7:55 pm. Return trips from Bangkok take off at 3:20 pm and touch down at Cat Bi airport at 5:10 pm.
The new routes bring the total number of routes operated by Vietjet from Cat Bi airport to nine, where the airline has served nearly two million passengers on more than 10,000 domestic and international flights so far.
