Cooperating with South Korea to develop eco-IPs
The Da Nang Industrial and Export Processing Zones authorities recently met with representatives from South Korea’s Ulsan City to discuss the establishment of eco-industrial parks (IPs) and further the development of the green industries sector in Da Nang.
The meeting in progress |
Ulsan is South Korea’s largest industrial city, and it has many years of experience in turning regular IPs into eco-ones. In the near future its authorities will transfer technologies, and share their valuable knowledge and experience relating to the establishment of an eco-IP model, to Da Nang, and Viet Nam as a whole. Special attention will be paid to training managers and giving financial aid for building eco-IPs in Viet Nam.
The South Korean delegation is expected to return to Da Nang in late December in order to conduct surveys into the development potential of an industrial symbiosis model at the Hoa Khanh IP.
