Over recent years, the municipal Department of Planning and Investment has made great efforts to introduce administrative reforms, with a focus on promoting the efficiency of its e-government system, and encouraging local businesses to conduct their administrative procedures online to save time and money.
To date, the city has a total of 18,078 businesses, branches and representative offices with a total registered capital of 89,369 billion VND.
Between January and September, the local authorities granted business registration certificates to 3,345 new businesses, branches and representative offices, with a total registered charter capital of over 11,635 billion VND. This figure represents an increase of 37% and 33% in the number of businesses and investments respectively compared with the same period last year. In addition, 3,140 businesses had their business registration certificates changed or supplemented, and 1,283 had their registration papers handled online.
Da Nang is now one of the 5 localities in Viet Nam which boast a high number of administrative procedures being handled online. Thanks to the effective interconnection between local relevant agencies, the time taken to deal with administrative procedures has been reduced by over 40%. Most notably, the time taken for handling business establishment procedures has been shortened from the national government-regulated 3 days down to 2.
Over recent years, a growing number of administrative procedures are being handled via the ‘One-stop-shop’ administration at the Department. In addition, greater efforts have been made to promote online public administrative services for local citizens and businesses.
Currently, businesses can access the national business registration system at http://dangkykinhdoanh.gov.vn through their own accounts.
