Song Thu Shipyard Corporation cooperates with Russia in ship building
Da Nang’s Song Thu Shipyard Corporation has agreed to cooperate with Russia’s Vostochnaya Verf shipyard (Primorye) in the production of cruise ships in order to help Viet Nam develop its tourism sector.

The Corporation’s General Director, Mr Ha Son Hai, said the two sides will joint efforts to build ships to serve property developer Sun Group's tourism projects in Da Nang. Such ships will then be mass-produced in domestic market and exported into other countries.
General Director Hai said his Corporation had entered into an agreement on education, science and innovation development projects with the Admiral Nevelskoy Maritime State University in Vladivostok - a major Pacific port city in Russia.
Russia is a very new market for ship builders. It launched a dredger and the TSHD2000 for Russia's Rosmorport company in 2015.
Song Thu Corporation is a major shipbuilder in Viet Nam. The Corporation has cooperated with the Netherlands’ Damen Group to export 40 vessels to the Middle East, South America, Europe, with an annual export volume of 55 million USD. The exported vessels include fast-crew supply ships, rescue ships, salvage tugs and drive tugs, besides patrol boats.
