Under the project, even more effective measures will be taken to develop Da Nang into a large service hub in the central region and highlands, and in Viet Nam as a whole. The focus will be on developing such local high quality and high added-value services as tourism, trade, logistics, and information and communications technology (ICT).
Special attention will also be paid to bolstering the local tourism development over the 2016 – 2020 period, developing a master plan for promoting this spearhead economic sector by 2025, with a vision towards 2035, as well as deploying new specialised shopping areas in the city in the years ahead.
In an attempt to promote the city’s investment environment for investors from both home and abroad, the emphasis will be on enhancing administrative reforms, and offering public services via the Internet. In addition, more periodic meetings and dialogue with local businesses and related organisations will be held to handle any difficulties facing them in a timely fashion.
Furthermore, greater efforts will be made to accelerate the progress of key local projects, especially developing the infrastructure system at the city’s Hi-tech and dedicated IT parks. The existing problem of traffic congestion at local intersections will be resolved soon, and new transport infrastructure projects will be deployed connecting these industrial parks with the soon-to-be-built Lien Chieu Port and other locations in the city centre.
Construction units will need to do their utmost to speed up the progress of the Da Nang – Quang Ngai Expressway, the extension of the 14B and 14G highways, and a link route between Da Nang’s Tuy Loan village and Thua Thien Hue Province’s La Son village, which is part of the Ho Chi Minh road.
Special heed will also be paid to developing more high-quality human resources to meet the local socio-economic development targets, with respect to the local services.
