Abundance of Tet goods in markets and supermarkets
Many of Da Nang’s businesses are offering local residents a wide range of products for the upcoming Tet Festival. The majority of their goods are confectionery, alcohol and beverage products, and processed foods, and they are all in eye-catching designs.

In addition, numerous Tet gift packages are now available at local supermarkets, markets, and grocery stores.
The local Con and Han markets are seeing a 30% increase in the volume of Tet goods against the same period last year. Included are fashionable clothes, dried seafood, fish sauces, and handicrafts.
The Intimex supermarket has already stockpiled Tet goods, with the total volume increased by up to 35% against the same period last year. Various new items are on display there, including organic agricultural products and smoked meats transported from farms in the country’s southwestern region. The prices of the Tet gift packages range from 250,000 VND to 3 million VND.
The volume of domestic Tet items at the Co.opmart supermarket is over 2,000 tons, up 15% against last year. Most notably, there is a rise of between 5% and 20% in the number of Tet goods being offered at stabilised prices.
The BigC mall is seeing a jump of up to 30% in the number of displayed Tet goods when compared with the same period last year. The venue is offering various Tet gift packages at reasonable prices for low-income earners, along with numerous new products from the Saigon Food and the Cau Tre Export Goods Processing companies, both from Ho Chi Minh City.
BigC has already made plans to stockpile Tet goods in order to ensure sufficient supplies of safe, high-quality goods for local shoppers before and after Tet. In addition, a promotional programme, with discounts of up to 50%, will be applied to thousands of products in the days leading up to the festival. The mall will increase the number of staff and extend its opening hours before and during the Tet period to meet the increasing shopping demands of local residents.
Meanwhile, the Metro supermarket is introducing its shoppers to various kinds of food and confectionaries imported from regional countries. It is also offering new eye-catching Tet gift packages featuring imported spices to attract the attention of its customers.
