The city's branch of the Saigontourist company is running a promotional programme for its Vietnamese and foreign customers booking flights and tours to domestic destinations and to other countries.  Under the programme, customers (over 12 years old) spending more than 5 million VND will be entered into a lucky draw for a 100 million VND cash prize.

Meanwhile, those booking tours through the local branch of Viettravel will receive a voucher, valued at 2 million VND, which can be used for any tours booked through the company.

Also, many of the local accommodation establishments will be offering various exciting cultural activities to celebrate Christmas and New Year.

In particular, the Furama Resort Danang will host a Christmas Eve Dinner on 24 December, and a New Year’s Eve Celebration entitled ‘Vietnamese Folk Night’ on 31 December.  Visitors to the latter will be treated to impressive Vietnamese cultural and arts programmes, and will enjoy a delicious royal cuisine.

Also at the Furama Resort, the annual ‘Tet Rural Market’ will take place from 21 - 23 January and the event will offer its visitors a wide selection of Vietnamese rural dishes at only 30,000 VND each.  Most notably, they will have the opportunity to admire a 55-year-old old apricot tree, and to be thrilled by fascinating cultural and arts performances on the venue’s floating stage.

Ms Nguyen Thi Kim Lien from the city’s Viet Nam Tourism Joint Stock Co (Vitours) remarked, “Many local residents are booking tours to foreign countries because the prices are very reasonable.  Included are South Korea, Japan, Thailand, and Taiwan.  In addition, my company is seeing a significant increase in the number of travellers booking to come from Ho Chi Minh City and Ha Noi to Da Nang over the forthcoming public holidays in comparison with the same period last year”.
