Import-export turnover hits 2.359 billion USD
According to the Da Nang Customs Department, as of 15 November, the city had earned 2.359 billion USD from imports and exports, up 5.88% compared with the same period last year. Of this figure, 1,257 billion USD had been generated from imports, whilst the remainder had come from exports.

The city’s key imports and exports included agricultural and seafood products, processing food, cattle feed, petroleum products, chemicals and chemical products, plastics materials and items, fertiliser, rubber and rubber products, wood and wooden items, paper and paper products, textiles and garments items, fabrics, iron and steel, glass and glasswares, machines, automobile spare parts, and raw materials for footwear, textile and garment production.
Over the period, the number of cruise and cargo ships which had arrived in and left the city’s ports increased by 75.5% against the same period last year to a total of 1,538. In detail, 782 ships had docked at the local ports, whilst the remainder had departed from the city.
In addition, cruise ship passenger entry and exit figures went up by 46.12% to reach 107,927. Meanwhile, the number of flights operating by domestic and international airlines which had landed at and departed from the local International Airport climbed by 46.12% to 14,473. Together they had helped to carry over 2,000 air passengers from both home and abroad, up 58.54%.
