Also, numerous fairs will be held across the city to meet the increasing consumer demands of local citizens during that period. In particular, a ‘Pride in Vietnamese Goods’ fair with 100 stands will take place at the city’s 29 March Park from 23 - 28 December. The 2017 Spring Fair, with over 400 stands, is scheduled for the Da Nang International Exhibition Fair Centre at 9 Cach Mang Thang Tam.
In addition, the Co.op Mart will implement some promotion programmes and sell essential goods for people who live in the Hoa Phu and Hoa Ninh mountainous communes of Hoa Vang District in the near future.
Two fairs for workers will be organised in the city’s Hoa Cam and An Don industrial parks between 7 and 20 January 2017.
Municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh has asked the Department of Commerce and Industry to cooperate with local relevant agencies to increase their checks and controls over trading activities on essential goods over the Tet Festival. These goods include livestock and poultry meat products, and various kinds of beverages, cakes, candies, fruit and fuel products.
The focus will be on ensuring food safety and hygiene, as well as ensuring that the goods are sold at the displayed prices under the local market price stabilisation programme.
