Officers from the Da Nang Market Management Bureau and the Police Department for Smuggling Prevention under the Ministry of Public Security recently seized over 10 tonnes of freight suspected of having been smuggled illegally.

The freight was discovered on train SE19 when it arrived at the city’s railway station.  The train was en route from Ha Noi to Ho Chi Minh City.

The seized freight included clothes, footwear, and electronic components.  The items were packed into large sacks, and did not have any relevant documents to prove their source of origin. 

The case is now under investigation.
