The number of cruise ship passenger arrivals to Da Nang has increased by 30% since the start of this year.

During the period, the Da Nang Port has welcomed 30 cruise ships with a total of nearly 65,000 passengers and crew members.

The number of cruise ship passenger arrivals to the city recovered in 2016 after 2 years of decline. Last year, the city welcomed 70 ships with a total of more than 136,000 tourists and crew members, a 2.6-fold increase from 2015.

Da Nang has developed new tours and services to better serve tourists such as developing a tourism cyclo and improving the quality of services at the Museum of Cham Sculpture, the Marble Mountains Tourist Area, and the Hai Van Pass.

The Da Nang Port has already upgraded to accommodate big cruise ships as well.

Da Nang expects to welcome a total of 95 cruise ships and about 160,000 passengers and crew by the end of 2017.
