Da Nang Customs Department have reported on the city’s 1^st quarter (January to March) performance.

The city’s exports hit over 27.8 billion VND, up 30% against the same period last year.

Some businesses made especially significant contributions to the city’s tax collections.  Included were the Truong Hai Auto Corporation with 156.6 billion VND, and the city’s branch of Hoa Phat Group with 66.4 billion VND.  Most notably, the city collected around 40 billion VND from import and export taxes on automobile products. 

The city’s tax collection from export activities reached 40% of the year’s estimates set by the city, whilst those from import and environmental protection activities represented 37% and 24% of the year’s estimates respectively.

More than 2,300 of city businesses used e-customs procedures, involving 16,150 declarations which is up 7.1% against the same period last year.  The majority of those businesses were FDI, join stock and domestic firms.
