During the ongoing tourism peak season, Da Nang is welcoming a large number of domestic and foreign visitors.  In particular, many domestic visitors on independent trips to the city are showing a keen interest in discovery tours.

Ms Le Thi Huyen’ family from Ha Noi experienced memorable moments during their recent 4-day tour to both Da Nang and Quang Nam Province.  Her family discovered the Son Tra Peninsula in Da Nang, and the My Son Sanctuary and Tam Thanh Mural Village in Quang Nam.  Ms Huyen said it was very interesting to see the amazing beauty of the city’s beaches at dawn, and the images of local fishermen busy pulling in their fishing nets.

Team-building tourism has become more popular with businesses, especially during the summer.  This type of tourism gives participants not only an opportunity to relax and explore some beautiful landscapes, but also to participate in challenging activities.  Many businesses nationwide usually book holidays incorporating various outdoor teamwork games for their employees, or for those who have outstanding work results.

The city-based Viet Nam Tourism Joint Stock Co (Vitours) is welcoming many visitor groups, each consisting of between 100 and 200 people.  Vitours is offering various different teambuilding programmes which help participants to improve their communication skills and also help them get to know each other better by assisting their teams in becoming a cohesive unit.  According to the company, many groups are choosing teambuilding packages featuring beach camping, beach barbecue parties, and exciting games.

During this summer, many local travel agencies are offering a wide range of tours to meet the diversified demands of their clients.  For example, the Viet Nam Travelmart company is launching many unique tours, including ‘Hanh Trinh Di San’ (Heritage Discovery Tours), ‘Thien Duong Mien Trung’ (Paradise in the Central Region).

According to the Deputy Head of the Management Board of the Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang Tourism Beaches, Mr Nguyen Duc Vu, the Da Nang - Summer Rendezvous programme 2017 will held between 17 to 23 June.  Visitors will be treated to various fascinating cultural and sporting activities.

Most notable in the programme will be the ‘Ngay Hoi Mien Bien’ (Coastal Festival), the Son Tra Adventure Run, a paragliding race themed ‘Flying over the Tien Sa Festival’, and a cycle race to conquer the Son Tra Peninsula.  Detailed information about the whole programme is displayed here: http://baodanang.vn/english/what-is-on/201706/12-18-june-2557679/.  Also, such watersports as jet skiing, coracle racing, paragliding, water skiing, banana boat riding and kayaking are available for visitors.

The Deputy Director of the municipal Tourism Department, Mr Tran Chi Cuong, recently said that his unit and other relevant agencies are jointly focusing on stopping the harassment of tourists, dealing with illegal street vendors who insist on begging passers-by to buy their goods, and handling the illegal encroachment of trading activities onto the streets’ pavements.

Special heed has been paid to ensuring security and environmental sanitation on the local tourism beaches, and enhancing the operation of local lifeguards to ensure the safety of swimmers.  This helps visitors to enjoy truly safe and comfortable stays in this beautiful seaside city.
