Tourist arrivals expected to hit over 140,000 for National Day

A total of over 140,000 tourists, including 43,000 foreigners, have booked tours to Da Nang and its neibouring localities for the upcoming National Day holidays between 2-4 September.

The city’s Tourism Department released the information in a statement on Monday, saying 39,000 tourists in total will stay in the city during the 3-day vacation.

A total of more than 14,000 tourists will come to the city on 94 flights from 2-4 September, and a cruise ship with 1,500 foreign passengers onboard will also dock at the Tien Sa Port over the vacation.

Various events will be held in the city during the 3-day holiday, including a boat race and kayak event in the Han River on 2 September, the introduction of a double-decker bus tour, a beer festival at the Ba Na Hills

Resort and a street dance on the eastern side of the Han River near the Rong (Dragon) Bridge, and a music performance at the East Sea Park near the My Khe Beach.

Capacity of 4 and 5-star hotels is also expected to reach 60 or 75%, according to the Department.
