City welcomes first foreign visitors of Lunar New Year
On Friday morning, a welcome ceremony for the first 180 international air passengers to set foot in Da Nang on Lunar New Year's Day (the 1st day of the 1st lunar month) took place at the city's International Airport.

The foreign first footers from many countries worldwide, arrived on a direct Hong Kong Express-operated flight UO552 from Hong Kong.
The welcome ceremony was hosted by representatives from the municipal Department of Tourism and the city’s International Airport.
At the welcome ceremony, representatives from the Department of Tourism presented flowers and Tet gifts to the first international air passengers, and took photos of memorable moments with them.
The foreign air passengers were very touched by the warm welcome given by the city authorities’ representatives. They remarked that during their stay in the city, they will take the opportunity to discover the beauty of the land, people and culture of the city.
Amongst the foreign air passengers, Mr Ross HellAby from the UK, hoped that he and his family members would enjoy unforgettable moments during their stay in this beautiful seaside city, especially during the ongoing Tet Festival.

Mr Nguyen Xuan Binh, the Tourism Department’s Vice Director, remarked that this year’s focus is being on continuously enhancing the quality of tourism services in a bid to help both domestic and foreign visitors have happy times during their stay in Da Nang - a safe, civilised and attractive destination.
