Da Nang city is the only Vietnamese locality in the list.

“Da Nang is 3^rd-largest city in Viet Nam behind capital Ha Noi and business hub Ho Chi Minh City. Were it not for the skyscrapers, bridges, malls, endless stream of motorbikes and the whir of air conditioners, today’s Da Nang could easily be 1960s Da Nang”, the magazine wrote.

In 2017, Da Nang hosted a total of 6.6 million visitors, a year-on-year increase of 19%, and earned more than 19.4 trillion VND (853.6 million USD) from tourism, up 20.6% from 2016 and fulfilling 104.9% of the set target.

The online marketplace and hospitality service Airbnb also announced a list of the world’s top 10 destinations for 2018, in which Da Nang ranked 5^th in booking surges of up to 255%.
