Vice Director of the Da Nang Police Department Colonel Tran Muu, on Thursday, presented 10 million VND from the city budget as bonuses to the Cam Le District Police for discovering smuggled goods worth over 5 billion VND (over 220,000 US$).

Previously, the district’s police had found a large volume of smuggled products being unloaded from a car parked on Hoa An 1 Street in Khue Trung Ward, and then stored in a warehouse there.
Amongst the confiscated items were different types of cameras, tablets and electric grinders. 

All of these items are thought to be manufactured in foreign countries, but they did not have the relevant documents proving their origin.

Initial investigations by the local police have shown that the owner of the seized products is 29-year-old Ngo Thi Thu from Quang Nam Province’s Thang Binh District. 

The offender admitted that she had purchased the smuggled goods in Ha Noi for resale to earn hefty profits.
