In particular, these venues will be packed up with those who want to relax, take photos, and learn about flower prices - not necessarily to purchase, in a bid to relish in the boisterous purchasing atmosphere before Tet.
The large-scale 2018 Spring Flower Market will be opened at the 29 March Square in front of the 2 September Peace Monument next Tuesday, 6 February, and it will run until 15 February, a day ahead of Tet. The venue will feature a total of 164 stalls available for Tet flowers being on display for sale.
Currently, stall rental fees are being collected from flower traders who are from Da Nang and such other localities as Gia Lai, Binh Dinh and Quang Nam by the event’s organisers. The fees are ranging from 1.9 million VND to 4.3 million VND per stall, depending on their favourable positions and sizes.
Mr Le The Giang, a trader from Cam Le District’s Hoa Phat Ward, hoped that he would enjoy a high consumption of chrysanthemum pots by local consumers before Tet, thereby earning high profits to celebrate happy and joyful Tet with his family members.
This local farmer said his family members have spent a lot of time and efforts growing, taking care of flower crops covering an area of nearly 1,000m2, and ensuring that they will reach full bloom exactly during the forthcoming festival.

In a similar vein, another large-scale Tet flower selling area will be opened at the Tuy Loan Market in suburban Hoa Vang District’s Hoa Phong Commune between 5 and 15 February. The average rental fees are set at only 20,000VND per m2.
Likewise, those who live in Lien Chieu will find it convenient to purchase gorgeous floral varieties at a spacious flower selling area with facades onto the Nguyen Sinh Sac and the north-west traffic axis No 1, next to the district Administrative Centre’ Park.
Running from 5 - 15 February, the whole selling area has been divided into a total of 100 vacant land lots, with each covering an area of around 80m2.
Such colourful Tet flowers as cymbidium hybrid, alcea rosea, gladioli, yellow chrysanthemums, lilies, orchid flowers, roses and sunflowers are expected to be on display for sale at this venue.
Notably, the 2018 Spring Flower Festival will take place at Lien Chieu District’s 29 March Park from 14 - 22 February, with the opening ceremony held in the evening of 14 February.
Visitors to this 7-day festival will be treated to various exciting cultural activities including a bird-singing contest, and a bonsai exhibit.
Apart from the spring flower markets mentioned above, smaller-scale venues have also attracted a large number of traders touting for business in the remaining districts of Ngu Hanh Son, Cam Le and Son Tra.
Following recent approval by the city authorities, local traders will be allowed to display their Tet ornamental plants and flowers for sale in front of the city’s International Exhibition Fair Centre, at vacant land lots on the corner of the Ham Nghi and Nguyen Van Linh, and near the junction of Do Quang and Nguyen Van Linh.
