According to a report by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), the APEC Year 2017 has opened up numerous bilateral and multilateral free trade agreements for Viet Nam.  This will facilitate the country to attract even more FDI projects, especially investors from the Northeast Asia region.

VCCI President Vu Tien Loc remarked that Da Nang is the central region’s hub for tourism, commerce services, IT, healthcare, education, and hi-tech industry.  He also underlined the significance of the city’s rechecking its development orientations and investment policies to attract more foreign partners in the years ahead.

President Loc said that the focus should be on creating more breakthroughs in enhancing investment environment, solving problems for local businesses, and boosting investment promotion activities in more effective manner.  In addition, he emphasised the need for domestic businesses to enhance standards for their production activities, and seeking more domestic and foreign partners to expand their consumer markets.

In addition, Mr Loc highlighted the vital role of small and very small-sized businesses in promoting the development of the city’s business community and boosting its socio-economic progress.
