At present at the launching ceremony were municipal Party Committee Secretary Truong Quang Nghia and People’s Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh.
In his remarks at the event, Vice Chairman Minh highlighted the important role of the new online payment portal in helping local citizens easily access a total of 555 online public services available in the city. By 2020, 100% of the local public services will be made online.
As planned, residents, businesses and organisations from across the city could pay such public fees and charges as taxes, electricity, water, tuition and hospital fees via the online payment service at http://egov.danang.gov.vn.
General Director of Vietinbank Le Duc Tho said the agreement was part of a long period of positive cooperation with the city.
The operation of the new portal helps to promote the adoption of online payment services in developing Da Nang into a ‘smart city’ in the future, and marks further progress towards promoting non-cash payment adoption in the city as well.
