The Phuoc My Ward People's Committee Vice Chairwoman Le Thi Nam Thanh remarked that the focus has been paying on ensuring food safety and hygiene for locals and visitors during the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2018 and the upcoming public holidays. The intention is to minimise the number of food poisoning cases over the festivals.

In addition, the Son Tra District Women's Union has coordinated with management boards at local markets to offer training courses on food safety and hygiene for traders there.
From now until 25 June, relevant local agencies will pay inspection visits to all food services providers in the district to tighten their management of food safety and hygiene at the venues. The focus is on checking food storing process, the origins of ingredients, and sources of water, and other additives used during food processing.
