At Wednesday’s workshop, many businesspeople in Da Nang were briefed on preferential policies aimed at supporting them to promote their technological innovation and scientific research activities.

Under the city’s existing instructions, enterprises, organisations and individuals engaged in technological research and innovations are totally eligible for support policies applicable to technology transfer, measurement activities, intellectual property rights, training activities, technological consultancy, and other related aspects.

Moreover, projects, involved in bringing scientific and technological ideas to fruition,   hi-tech applications, and incubation activities, can access loans at preferential, or even zero-percent interest rates, from the Da Nang Science and Technology Development Fund, or get credit from commercial banks through the city’s Credit Guarantee Fund.

Other scientific and technological tasks which are totally funded by the Da Nang Science and Technology Development Fund include the registration for intellectual property rights, and the commercialisation of scientific research works which have received high prizes at domestic and overseas events. 

Small and medium-sized enterprises in all industries benefit from support policies regarding the establishment of management systems, certification and accreditation activities, and energy audit.

Representatives of the Department of Science and Technology introduced the city’s scientific research orientations in key economic and technical aspects, environmentaly-friendly city model, natural disaster mitigation, biotechnology and others.
