VCCI's active engagement in boosting city's progress
Over recent years, the Da Nang branch of the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), and the city’s business community as a whole, have become actively involved in boosting the local remarkable progress.
In particular, the city branch of VCCI has worked closely with the city authorities to enhance the business environment and assist enterprises to operate effectively.
Notably, during the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week 2017 in the city, the CEO SUMMIT and the Viet Nam Business Summit, both organised by VCCI, left a good impression on international friends.
During Wednesday’s meeting, municipal People's Committee Vice Chairman Tran Van Mien asked the city branch of VCCI and local businesses associations to continue giving even more assistance for enterprises, thereby boosting the growth of business community in terms of both quality and quantity.
The city leader also highlighted the important role of businesses associations and the authorities of localities in the central region and Central Highlands in increasing their experience exchanges in enhancing the performance of the business community in the whole region.
Da Nang now ranks 1st in the central region and Central Highlands in terms of the number of businesses with more than 22,000.
According to the statistics by the Ministry of Planning and Investment, last year, the number of new businesses in the city doubled the national average. In particular, one companies shuts down, whereas 4.06 are established, in comparison with the national ratio being 1/2.1.
