117ha hi-tech agricultural production area to be set up in Hoa Vang District
It’s high time for localities to develop plans for the establishment of more hi-tech agricultural production areas in accordance with regional growing and climate conditions.

This was the solution that participating delegates emphasised at a recent forum in
Da Nang, themed ‘High-tech application in agricultural production adaptation to climate change in the south central coastal areas’.
The event was jointly held by the National Centre for Agricultural Extension, and the municipal Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.
According to the municipal Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, over recent years, Da Nang has focused on promoting hi-tech agricultural production models, and developing organic agricultural products which have won the strong trust of local consumers.
Last year, the city authorities gave the green light to the development of 7 hi-tech agricultural projects, covering a total area of over 500ha in the city.
At present, importance is being attached to completing necessary paperwork to carry out the establishment of an 117ha hi-tech agricultural production area in Hoa Vang District’s Hoa Ninh Commune as soon as possible.
Mr Nguyen Phu Ban, the Director of the municipal Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, underlined the need for all localities nationwide to develop their consumption chain of high-quality organic agricultural products meeting the strict food safety and hygiene regulations.
Director Ban asked the city authorities to create favourable conditions for the National Centre for Agricultural Extension to develop a hi-tech agricultural production model in Da Nang, the most typical of its kind in the south-central coastal region in the coming time.
Mr Tran Van Khoi, the Acting Director of the National Centre for Agricultural Extension, highlighted the significance of developing hi-tech agricultural areas suitable for each province and region.
