Bustling purchasing atmosphere for World Cup 2018
The 2018 FIFA World Cup will take place in Russia from 14 June - 15 July. In particular, a total of 12 different stadiums in 11 cities will host the matches during the world football tournament.

In the days leading up to the world’s most hotly anticipated event, supermarkets and shops selling TVs and projectors have seen a significant increase in the number of buyers.
In a bid to stimulate the purchasing power of customers, such electronics centres as Dien May Xanh, Tran Anh and Nguyen Kim are offering huge discount on their products.
In particular, the Dien May Xanh shop is giving a promotion programme for TV shoppers. Anyone who buys a TV at the shop will receive 3 free entertainment applications of film, Pop Kids, and Home Karaoke for one year, along with between 20 and 30% off on speaker products.
Visitors to Nguyen Kim can be discounted between 100,000 VND and 5 million VND on their bought items when they conduct their payments by scanning QR codes, or using Visa and credit cards.
The Cho Lon electronic supermarket is offering its shoppers 12% discount on 40-65 inch TVs. Especially, online buyers will enjoy more 8% off on their bought products.
Apart from electronic supermarkets, e-commerce websites are giving up to 20% off on their TVs on sale. Also, TV buyers will get free shipping, and be presented with home appliances and discount coupons.
In addition, there is a dramatic increase in the purchasing and renting power of projectors and LED screens in the city.
Mr Nguyen Ngoc Hien from the Ngoc Hien Audiovisual Solution Company said that the purchasing and rental demand for projects and LED screens this year is much higher than 4 previous years’. Over recent days, his company has received many orders. Therefore, the company’s employees have been busy delivering and installing products for customers.
Moreover, there is a growing demand for sporting clothes printed with the official logos of World Cup 2018 from local citizents, and these items are now out of stock.
Mr Truong Minh Hieu from Hai Chau District said that he has to order online sporting clothes printed with the official logos of World Cup 2018 in Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City.
In a similar vein, some coffee shops in the city have been busy preparing for their operation during the World Cup 2018.
Mrs Thu Hong, an owner of the Long coffee shop on Ngo Quyen Street in Son Tra District, remarked “I have hired more waiters/waitresses who will work on the night shift at the shop. The shop has been already equipped with a 50-inch TV, and decorated with big World cup calendars.
Many restaurants and bistros have been hoping for a bonanza from the ‘eat with soccer, sleep with soccer’ season.
An owner of the Minh Map restaurant in Lien Chieu District noted that he has upgraded his restaurant, and hired more chefs and employees. He also added a few new dishes to the menu in order to attract even more customers.
