City attracts 127 million USD in FDI in 6 months
According to Deputy Director of the Da Nang Investment Promotion Centre Huynh Lien Phuong, the city attracted a total of 127 million USD from foreign direct investment (FDI) projects in the first half of this year.
In addition, investment licences were granted for 61 new FDI projects, totalling 76 million USD, and this figure doubled the number against the same period last year. Moreover, 6 existing FDI projects increased their investment capital by a total of 27 million USD.
During that period, foreign investors bought shares worth 21.1 million USD in total from several businesses.
Currently, Da Nang is appealing for FDI inflows into 10 projects. They are the Hoa Khanh Industrial Cluster, the Museum of Asian Cuisine, a fashion design training centre, a film studio, an Asian culture and arts performing centre, and plants for manufacturing firefighting equipment, electronic touch screens, silicon micro-electro-mechanical systems, waste treatment equipment, and environmentally-friendly 9-seater cars.
