Medi-Pharm Da Nang is jointly organised by the municipal Trade Promotion Department, the Viet Nam Medical Equipment Association, and the Viet Nam Association of Preventive Medicine.

In his remarks at the event, Deputy Minister of Health Truong Quoc Cuong highlighted the significance of the international event in facilitating pharmaceutical producers and traders from both home and abroad to seek their partners and expanding their consumption markets.

“Through this event, a closer link will be formed between pharmaceutical producers and healthcare service providers in order to enhance the efficiency of medical check-ups and treatment, as well as the quality of healthcare services”, Deputy Minister Cuong added.

The 4-day exhibition takes ‘Joining Efforts for the Community Heath, particularly the Health of Ethnic Minority People in the Central Region and Highlands’ as its theme.

The event features a total of over 250 stands from 150 domestic and foreign businesses, including those from China, Germany, India, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, the USA, Singapore, and the Netherlands.

On display are medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, supplementary foods, hospital furniture, dental and ophthalmology instruments, chemicals and medical testing equipment, and beauty products and equipment.

Within the framework of the exhibition, a series of workshops will be organised, with a focus on discussing Viet Nam’s market for medical equipment - its trends and opportunities, the control and prevention of Hepatitis B and C, primary healthcare providers, and prevention of cancers, heart diseases, high blood pressure, and diabetes.

To mark the occasion, Medi-Pharm Da Nang’s organisers presented 100 family medicine cabinets to residents in remote areas in Da Nang, and 56 first aid kits to the city’s medical volunteers for community health.
