The event was co-organised by the municipal Department of Foreign Affairs and the Japan National Tourism Organisation (JNTO).
During 1-day event, Vietnamese businesses had the opportunity to learn about Japan’s tourism market, especially potential resources for tourism development in Hokkaido Prefecture, as well as to meet with representatives from 15 travel agencies in Japan to seek their cooperative opportunties.
In addition, both Vietnamese and Japanese attendees together discussed ways to promote their tourism products in their partner localitties.
According to the latest statistics released by JNTO, Viet Nam welcomed a total of around 800,000 Japanese visitors, whilst the number of Vietnamese tourists to Japan hit over 300,000 last year.
Currently, there are now 11 direct flights weekly between Da Nang and Japan. This facilitates Japan and Da Nang, and Viet Nam as a whole, to boost tourism development in the coming time.
