The app is operated by either IOS or Android systems in English and Vietnamese, and it can be downloaded from Google PlayStore or Apple Store.

Using this convenient app, both local citizens and visitors arriving in the city feel really comfortable to experience a better service of travelling by bus around the city.

With Danabus’s convenient features, its users can easily search for routes and determine the distance from departure and arrival points on their smartphones. They need only type in their location and destination. and the app will guide them to the nearest bus station or bus stop, and shows the route and timetable.

Moreover, the users can know exactly the bus arrival time to reduce the waiting time.

In the case of using multiple buses to come to final destination, the application supports to point out when and where you can change the bus.

Also, smartphone users can also check the bus fares for travelling from place to place.

In particular, Danabus is associated with the ‘Gop Y Da Nang’ (Giving Complaints to Da Nang) app.  Encouragingly, this app has received a great deal of positive feedback from both residents and visitors, partly thanks to its friendly and convenient interface for users to look and choose their suitable routes.

Mr Mai Huu Thanh, a civil servant working at the city’s Administrative Centre highly praised Danabus for its great benefits.

Given the increasing popularity of free wireless internet (wifi) system, smartphone users find it very easy to use Danabus, and this app allows them to save time, shorten their travel distance, and find bus stops and buses faster.

This app is considered as one of the steps to implement a project for developing Da Nang into a smart city.

Thanks to the introduction of this much-awaited app, along with the effectiveness of intra-city bus routes offering subsidised ticket fares, there are an upward trend in the number of locals and visitors travelling by bus.

Mr Philip Johnson, a traveller from the UK, said Danabus is very convenient software for travellers. Users can find their suitable route based on the criteria: the shortest time, shortest distance, and the lowest possible number of transfers.

Mr Dang Nam Son, the Director of the Da Nang Traffic Lights and Public Transport Management Centre (DATRAMAC), to date, a total of 322,488 smartphone users have searched for bus routes via Danabus.

Mr Le Van Trung, the Director of the municipal Department of Transport, the app has helped to satisfy the increasing travel demand amongst local people and visitors, and enhance the quality of the city’s public transportation services, and facilitate locals to travel easier.

It is no denying the fact that travelling by bus rather than by personal vehicle helps to decrease air pollution and ease traffic congestion.
