Tran Nhat Tien and Tran Phuoc Bao Thu from the Architecture Faculty of the Da Nang University of Science and Technology won the first prizes of the contest to find the best ideas for floral displays and lighting decorations for the 2019 Tet Festival.

The first prize-winning entry

Themed ‘Original Lights’, first winners’ work features numerous eye-catching and impressive floral displays and lighting decoration designs on main streets. In addition, there are LED lighting systems at welcome gates along some streets.

Organised by the municipal Construction Department, the contest attracted a total of 37 students from the University of Architecture and the University of Science and Technology.

Between 8 March and 8 April, the contest’s organisers received 9 entries in the category of lighting decorations, and 11 entries in the category of floral displays.
