During a tourism promotion programme in Da Nang on Monday, representatives from the Cambodian Ministry of Tourism invited the city-based tour operators to visit and explore popular Cambodian destinations, as well as to experience tour packages and tourism products in the land of temples.

Alongside, the Cambodian guests also introduced their country’s tourism development orientations with the intention of attracting even more visitors from Da Nang and elsewhere in the central and Central Highland regions. Also, this will help to boost the tourism cooperation for mutual development amongst Laos, Viet Nam, and Cambodia in the coming time.

At present, there are 3 popular ways to travel from Da Nang to Cambodia: taking a transit flight from Da Nang to Phnom Penh or Siem Reap, heading to Siem Reap via the Ho Chi Minh City-located Tan Son Nhat Airport, and via the Lao Bao border gate in Quang Trị Province by road.

According to the Da Nang-based travel agencies, no direct flights connecting the seaside city to such popular Cambodian destinations as Phnom Penh or Siem Reap have been mainly blamed for a decrease in the number of clients booking tours to the Cambodian market. Therefore, representatives from the Cambodian Ministry of Tourism revealed they are making every effort to promote the opening of the Da Nang-Siem Reap direct flight as soon as possible.
