More trains and flights for forthcoming National Day
Spokespersons for the national carrier Vietnam Airlines and the low-cost carrier Jetstar Pacific Airlines have recently announced plans to add more flights to serve increasing travel demand during the forthcoming National Day holiday which falls on the weekend from 1 - 3 September.
In particular, Vietnam Airlines will provide an additional 32 flights with nearly 6,500 seats between 31 August and 3 September on high-demand routes to popular tourist destinations, increasing to the total seats to over 151,000.
The extra flights will be between Ha Noi and Da Nang, Quy Nhon and Phu Quoc, as well as between Ho Chi Minh City and Quy Nhon, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc and Da Lat.

Meanwhile, Jetstar Pacific will operate more than 540 flights from 30 August -3 September, up 35% compared with the same period last year.
In addition, the Ha Noi Railway Transport Joint Stock Company will run a total of 140 passenger trains, with 90,000 seats in total, on routes connecting Ha Noi with Thanh Hoa, Vinh, Quang Binh, Lao Cai and Da Nang, and vice versa between 30 August and 3 September. The purpose is to meet the increasing travel demand of residents and visitors during the forthcoming 3-day holiday.
