Nearly 40 billion VND for energy-efficient street lighting
The Da Nang leaders have given the go-ahead for the implementation of a pilot project to replace 2,996 of the existing high pressure sodium lights with LED ones along 19 major streets.

The replacement work will cost over 39.6 billion VND funded from the city budget, and savings on electricity consumption, and annual lighting maintenance.
The streets are Nguyen Tat Thanh, 3 February, Nhu Nguyet, Bach Dang, 2 September, Cach Mang Thang Tam, Yet Kieu, an approach road to Tien Son Bridge, Ho Xuan Huong, Pham Van Dong, Vo Van Kiet, Tran Hung Dao, Le Duc Tho, Nguyen Sinh Sac, Dien Bien Phu, Nguyen Tri Phuong, Nguyen Huu Tho, Tran Phu and 30 April.
The project will help the city promote the application of energy-saving lighting technologies in enhancing the quality of the public lighting system, reducing electricity and maintenance costs as well as greenhouse gas emissions, thereby boosting the development of the tourism, and the city’s progress as a whole.
